Emily McLaurin grew up in Waxhaw and now lives in town with her husband, Grant, their 3-year-old son, and Lab, Remi.

After working in childcare and the insurance business for many years, Emily is thrilled to be working in her own community, helping it to grow and prosper. Through her work with the print and online editions of the Tri-W News and Mint Hill Times, Emily looks forward to assisting with the news, events and featured articles that highlight the best our region has to offer. Her multitude of organizational and communication skills are sure to be an asset to the publications as well as the regions we serve!
