Eagle Scout Michael Cellucci celebrates accomplishment

Recently Eagle Scout Michael Cellucci celebrated his accomplishment by having his Eagle Court of Honor ceremony held at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church in Matthews, North Carolina.

Michael is from Troop 140 and is a well rounded young man. He has shown excellent leadership qualities such as mentoring six scouts in the troop’s new Scout Patrol as the Troop Guide he has been able to establish a strong team-building environment while providing guidance and direction to other scouts in the troop who need to meet certain requirements for merit badges and various ranks. He has earned 34 merit badges which are required to become an Eagle Scout.

In addition to his Eagle Scout project Michael has logged over 100 hours of community service including participating in the Mint Hill Senior Citizens Party at Independence High School for the past 4 years.

Michael is 16 years old and is a sophomore at Weddington High School. He is a good student enrolled in advanced classes at the school and is an honor roll member. He also competes on the varsity swim team and specializes in distance freestyle and breaststroke.

He is an active member of Saint Matthews Church and was confirmed in May 2019. Michael achieved his Eagle Scout rank and was awarded it on August 13, 2019, at the age of 15. His Eagle Scout Project was completed at Lebanon Road Elementary School, in Mint Hill where he restored the courtyard grounds. The project was completed in October of 2018.
