Chamber Benefits: Weekly Blast

MINT HILL, NC – Did you know that the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce offers an easy way to spread the word about what’s happening with your business to other local business owners and organizations?

It’s called the “Weekly Blast,” and it’s the weekly Chamber-wide mass email that helps keep members informed about what’s going on both within the Chamber and around town.  “We try to keep our members informed of things that are going on within the Chamber, but also within member organizations,” says Executive Director Paige McKinney.  “We also use the Weekly Blast to share general knowledge about things like cyber security and social media.”

“Members can advertise events or promotions in the Weekly Blast free of charge,” continues McKinney.  “Many other Chambers charge for that service, but not us.  It’s just one more opportunity for our members to get the word out and to stay informed.”

Melissa Tamez, Development Manager for Bright Blessings, relies on the Weekly Blast to stay informed and frequently utilizes it to advertise what’s coming up at Bright Blessings.  “As a Chamber member, I always read the Weekly Blast,” says Tamez.  “I asked to start including Bright Blessings in those blasts in hopes that other members are as invested in them as I am. We’re currently using that email blast to advertise for our upcoming golf classic at Pine Lake on May 9, and our gala at The Fillmore on October 8. We are also hosting the Chamber Business After Hours in May so that information is included as well.”

“I think it’s an awesome benefit to be able to push your company or organization’s information out to fellow chamber members!” continues Tamez.  “As a non-profit, we hope to reach as many people as possible to increase awareness of our mission. My husband and I also own a business that belongs to the chamber (Charlotte Plumbing Solutions), so from our perspective it’s an amazing way to advertise. I would encourage everyone to reach out to Paige when you have a special event, member deal or general information you’d like your fellow members to know about. The more places you can advertise, the better!”
