“Best of Home Town” Photo Contest Winners

The Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce hosted the “Best of Home Town” Photo Contest on Thursday, December 19 at their beautiful office. Anna Granger, owner of First Choice Properties proudly sponsored, “what they hope is an annual event,” stated Tina Pedersen representing First Choice Properties.

“Winners were chosen on what is best showcased Mint Hill events, places and people in our town. The two moving wall photos depicted that Mint Hill had residents, past and present, and those that plan great events for our town. The two Town of Mint Hill Town office pictures were chosen because they represented the tireless work that benefits our community and our town,” state Paige McKinney, Executive Director of the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce.

Sheryl Smith, Assistant to Town Manager, explained that Roberts Schuster’s picture of this little boy at the Wall, together with his father, represented what the Wall was to the Town of Mint Hill. (Jenifer Shaw)


“It was an honor to sponsor The Best of Home Town Photo Contest and reward the outstanding pictures of the winners,” said Anna Granger.

Honorable Mention went to Robert Schuster (not in attendance) and Samuel Doejaaren, a senior at Independence High School Senior, reflected on this honor, and who is proudly attending SCADS (Savannah College of Art and Design) fall of 2020.
