Independence Patriots 

Basketball:



Bryce Brooks – The senior guard in his final high school game scored 14 points to carry  the Patriots in their season ending defeat against Charlotte Catholic, who were the eventual Southwestern 4A Conference Tournament Champions. During the season he averaged 12.1 points per game, 2.8 assists, 2.4 steals to lead the Patriots in three categories.

Girls Basketball: 

Kaylee Carson – The sophomore had another solid week for the Lady Patriots. This season she led the team and conference in scoring with over 247 points and averaging 19.5 points per game. She grabbed 123 rebounds, drilled 42 three pointers, 79 assists, 53 steals, and 2 double-doubles in 22 games.

Chloe Moss – The rapidly developing sophomore keeps showing her potential with a big week in the Southwest 4A Conference Championship held at Independence. Moss was selected as this week’s Player Of The Week based on her performance.

Rocky River Ravens 

Basketball: 

Jaden Lyles – The junior continues to show why he is one of the premiere guards in the Southwestern 4A Conference. He scored 15 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and added 2 steals in the Southwestern 4A Conference consolation game against Butler with a 45-41 victory.

Javares Green – The highly competitive player scored 11 points, and grabbed 10 rebounds, along with 2 steals for a double-double in the big consolation game victory over the Dawgs.

Butler Bulldogs 

Basketball:

Zion Mcduffie – One of the top players in the Southwestern 4A Conference scored 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 huge block and 1 deflection in the consolation game against the Ravens from Rocky River.

Ty Black – The senior who is a true shooting guard scored 15 points on Friday night against the Ravens in the final game of a very solid high school career. He added 2 assists and 2 deflections in a strong effort.

Queen’s Grant Stallions

Basketball:

Cyrus Faherty – The senior completed his high school career with a strong 17 point performance, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists in the Stallions 79-72 Conference Tournament loss to end their season.

Lourell Covington – The senior played in his final game scoring 12 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, with 1 assist to end a solid 19-7 overall, 11-3 conference record in his last campaign. He led the team with 13.8 points per game, and 6.7 rebounds.
