
Independence Patriots
Basketball:
Ralph Johnson – The senior had a solid game against Butler scoring 12 points with two slams in the contest. He also made a nice contribution off the boards grabbing 6 rebounds.
Sabastian Taylor – The forward scored 9 points and hauled down 6 rebounds against Butler on Friday night. He was named the Player of the Game on Tuesday night against the Ravens.
Dyshawn Taylor – The senior guard scored 10 points in the contest on Friday night vs. Butler. He is averaging 10.4 points per game this season for the Patriots.
Girls Basketball:
Kaylee Carson – The team leading scorer added another 18 points and 5 steals against the Eagles. She then added a 24 point performance against the Ravens and 21 points on Friday night against the Bulldogs. Entering this week she was averaging 19.0 points per game and is now the scoring leader in 4A Conference 59 averaging just over 20.0 points.
Kamryn Kitchen – The freshman scored 15 points, while adding 7 assists and 2 steals against the Eagles. She added 16 points against the Ravens and 19 points on Friday vs. Butler. She is among the top leaders in assists in 4A Conference 59 with 74, and is averaging 14.9 points per game.
Chloe Moss – The sophomore had 12 points and 5 rebounds vs. the Eagles. She is averaging 8.9 points per game, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.5 tips/deflections.
Tamia Burgess – The senior is making a nice contribution under the boards grabbing a team leading 74 rebounds, averaging 4.3 points per game and has accumulated 20 blocked shots this season.
Rocky River Ravens
Basketball:
Javares Green – The senior point guard scored 18 points against rival Independence, he added 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 1 block. He was named the Ravens “Player of the Game.
Jaden Lyles – The junior scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the Ravens past the Wildcats. He also scored 16 points against the Patriots in another win.
Will Ham – The senior contributed 14 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal in the Wildcat victory. He had 10 points against the Patriots.
Anthony Franchi – The senior added 8 points but lead the Ravens with 8 rebounds vs. the Wildcats.
Queen’s Grant Stallions
Basketball:
Connor Leach – The senior led the scoring with 13 points, added 8 rebounds, and had 2 blocked shots in the win over Langtree.
Lourell Covington – The consistent senior contributed 9 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, added 5 assists and 3 steals in the big conference win over the Lions.
Keion Adams – The junior had a solid game scoring 12 points, hauled down 8 rebounds, while adding 2 assists and 2 steals.
