
Independence Patriots
Basketball:
Bryce Brooks – Mr. Hustle scored 16 points added 4 assists, and 3 rebounds in the Patriots win over Hopewell on Tuesday night at “The Pit.” He added another 14 points on Friday against Cardinal Gibbons to lead the Patriots in scoring this week.
Tosh Alberga – The sophomore off the bench provided a spark scoring 11 points and grabbing multiple rebounds for Independence against the Titans.
Ralph Johnson – The senior had another solid game contributing 8 points with multiple assists and rebounds on Tuesday night.
Dyshawn Taylor – The senior added 10 points while playing a solid defensive game for the Patriots on Tuesday. He added 12 points on Friday night for the Patriots.
Girls Basketball:Â
Chloe Moss – The consistent sophomore had her best game of the season scoring 16 points, hauling down 7 rebounds, played extremely well under the boards and made a significant contribution on defense for the Lady Patriots against Hopewell.
Kaylee Carson – The teams top scorer had 12 points during a down night against an aggressive Hopewell defense. She bounced back on Friday night against Ardrey Kell scoring 21 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds to lead the Patriots to a 49-22 win.
Lily Todd – The junior added 7 points, played solid defense, and scored her points when it counted for the Patriots to keep the team in the basketball game. She continues to make a positive contribution for the Lady Patriots.
Kamryn Kitchen – The freshman standout point guard accumulated 6 assists, and scored 7 points in the contest. She had an excellent defensive effort in the upset loss to Hopewell. She scored 10 points, had 4 assists, and 2 steals against the Knights.
Rocky River Ravens:Â
Basketball:
Jaden Lyles – The junior guard is averaging 17.4 points per game to lead the Ravens in scoring. He is also contributing 3.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.2 tips this season.
Henry Price – The 6’5″ versatile junior is contributing 10.6 points per game, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.8 tips for the high flying Ravens.
Javares Green – The senior point guard has averaged 9.6 points per game, 6.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 3.4 steals for the Ravens.
Girls Basketball:
Amani Womack – The junior leads the team in scoring during the first six games of this season with 17.2 points per game. She also has multiple assists, rebounds, and steals.
