CHARLOTTE – Independence High School 

Boys Basketball:



Landon King – The junior point guard for the Patriots after three games played into the season is averaging 13.7 points per game, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.7 steals, and has a FG shooting percentage of 48% scoring a team-high 41 points.

Jalen Hinton – The senior guard has made a consistent contribution scoring 11.3 points per game, grabbing 1.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, with 3.0 steals, while scoring a total of 34 points.

Divine Allah – The senior during the 3 game stretch added 11.0 points per game, hauled down 4.0 rebounds, has 1.7 assists, and 1.3 blocks as his contribution to the team while scoring 33 points.

Carmen Little – The 6’2″ senior leads the team in rebounds with 5.7 per game, while scoring 9.0 points per game, with 1.7 assists for the Patriots.

Girls Basketball:

Jessica Timmons – The talented senior transfer is averaging 28.3 points per game. She has added 7.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.3 steals. She recently scored 46 points on 18 field goals landing 82% of her shots.

Braylyn Milton – Another talented senior heading to the University of Cincinnati is averaging 15.0 points per game, 6.0 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals for the Lady Patriots who have another solid team.

Rocky River Ravens

Boys Basketball: 

Demonte Cunningham – The 6’2″ senior recently scored 19 points against rival Butler in a 80-62 victory. He took eight shots from the floor and netted all 8 for 100%. From the free-throw line, he sunk 3-6 shots for 50%. Demonte also added 4 rebounds and had 1 assist while being selected player of the game by coach Donald Kirby in the Ravens first two contests. He has shot 15/18 from the floor for 83%, averaged 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists to date.

Calik “Duke” Thomas – The reliable and consistent senior scored 14 points against Butler making a solid contribution. In the 2 games played he is averaging 16.5 points per game, grabbed 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 steals with 1 blocked shot.

Christian Rudisell – The senior guard contributed 16 points on 8/10 shots from the floor while deflecting 2 shots on defense.

Stephon Richards – Another solid senior from last years Ravens added 16 points shooting 71% from the floor against Butler. He grabbed 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 1 deflection defensively.
