The event formerly known as Sunday Afternoon in the Park will return as the Annual Tina Ross Afternoon in the Park as a tribute to the late Commissioner Tina Ross in honor of her love for the arts and the Town of Mint Hill. Tina loved this town and dedicated her life to be a public servant for its betterment.
The Town of Mint Hill, along with the Arts and Science Council and Atrium Health will sponsor the event. Over 25 local artists (including artists from Mint Hill Arts and Pottery 51) and musicians will display, perform, demonstrate and sell their handmade items on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The event will be held around the fountain in front of Town Hall located at 4430 Mint Hill Village Lane. A ceremony honoring the late commissioner will take place at 11:00 am. Members from the Charlotte Symphony will perform starting at noon.
Be sure to stop by the Atrium Health tent to help create a project in memory of Tina called ‘Tina’s Tree’. We will be painting a bare tree that community members can add their thumb print as leaves and leave their mark. Just like Tina did.
