MINT HILL, NC – On Saturday, December 10, over 30 vendors circled around the Town Hall Christmas tree for The Chamber of Commerce’s 4th annual Pop Up Christmas Shop.

Vendors included familiar brick-and-mortar businesses like Mint Hill Coffee & Social House and Carolina Hemp as well as handmade goods by at-home retailers like Mayra’s Country Store and More.
Always popular is the Mint Hill Women’s Club booth. In addition to baked goods and other merchandise handmade by the club’s members, they sold two exclusive Mint Hill items: a set of two gift-boxed stemless etched wine glasses and a keepsake tea towel featuring the Mint Hill Clock Tower.

The goal of the Pop Up Christmas Shop is to encourage consumers to shop local for the holidays, so all vendors came from within a 15-mile radius of Mint Hill. In the words of Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Paige McKinney, the Pop Up Christmas Shop showcases the value local retailers brings to our community by encouraging people to shop local.

In conjunction with the Pop Up Christmas Shop, the Chamber of Commerce held a Toy Drive for Bright Blessings, a volunteer-led organization that aims to impact the lives of homeless and impoverished children.
With a chill in the air on Saturday as shoppers strolled past the Town’s 16-foot tall Christmas tree with hot chocolate in their hands, the Pop Up Christmas Shop was a true “Hallmark Movie Moment” for Mint Hill.
