So, you’re thinking about refreshing your brand’s look or maybe you’re launching a new business? Whichever is the case, the primary elements of a brand are your company’s name and logo and is often the first impression a client will have of your business.
Your logo should be an image of what your customers care about, while remaining true to who and what your business does. A logo should adequately highlight the values of your business, quickly understood, welcoming to your potential client, and visually appealing.
Here are some tips to consider when considering a logo for your brand or business:
• Keeping it simple is one of the best approaches when it comes to logo design.  Your logo needs to look good in a range of formats – business cards, brochures, websites, mobile devices, etc.
The simpler the logo, the more likely it is to work in
a variety of applications.
• Picking the right colors, plays a big role in the way your brand is perceived. Take
the time to understand the psychology of colors and apply the principles accordingly
to your brand.
You should also make sure your logo is versatile enough to effectively work in one color (i.e. black) and in reverse color (i.e. light logo on dark background).
• Use a font that’s original to make your brand appear unique and stand out.
Choose a font that speaks immediately to the image of your brand. Avoid anything that is too
trendy because it will become outdated.
Remember, when it comes to branding, the right logo design is an important piece of the puzzle.
