Casa de Campo resort is one of the most revered resorts in the Caribbean. Barbara and I have had the honor of visiting and staying at this resort twice. Every time we were treated like VIP guests and enjoyed every moment.
Casa de Campo Resort is located in La Romana, in the D.R. I believe they are the only resort that can honestly advertise that they have hosted several U.S. Presidents. The Dominican Republic shares the island of Hispanola, occupying about the southern two-thirds. La Romana International Airport (LRM) serves the area from both Miami and San Juan. It is easily accessible from Charlotte on American Airlines. It is about ninety minutes from two additional International Airports, Punta Cana and Santo Domingo. The resort is located on the southeast coast of the D.R.
The resort is well known for features no other resort can claim; Golf is “To Dye For”. Championship courses like “Teeth of the Dog”, “Links”, and “Dye Fore” are ranked among the top courses in the world in every golf publication. All courses were designed by the famous golf architect and designer Pete Dye. One or more of these courses has ranked #1 course in the Caribbean consistently for years. The resort was named World’s Leading Golf Resort, and the honor is not taken lightly.
Check in next week for Part 2.
