Baseball:Â
Bryson Jusko – The junior is leading the team with a .405 batting average. He has an OBP .527, OPS .980, 17 hits, 5 RBI’s, and 12 runs scored this season in 14 games.
Raja Milton – The senior improved his batting average this week to .395. He has an OBP .544, OPS .986, 17 hits, 12 RBI’s, 13 base on balls, and 18 runs scoredin 17 games played this season.
Softball:
Mallory Shaver – The power line drive hitting sophomore leads the team with a .511 batting average. Her OPS is 1.338, has nine extra base hits including 6 doubles, 3 triples with 16 RBI’s. She has a team leading 23 hits in 14 games played.
Maya Douglas – The sophomore continues to shine with a .488 batting average. She has 21 hits of which 11 are extra base hits including 7 doubles, 1 triple, and 3 home runs along with 22 RBI’s. Douglas OPS is a team leading 1.484.
Jaylin Adkins – The junior in 15 games has a solid .444 batting average. She has smacked 16 hits, 2 doubles, 1 triple and has scored 14 runs. She has been consistent on the mound in both a starting and relief role with a 1.75 ERA in 24 innings while tossing 358 pitches.
Kayla Douglas – The number one starter and workhorse on the mound for the Patriots. In 56.1 innings pitched she as a 2.73 ERA, 50 strikeouts, allowed 22 earned runs o 972 pitches. Also, she is hitting .355 with 11 hits, 7 RBI’s and 2 doubles in 14 games this season.
Soccer:Â
Annaliese Shelley – The senior standout scored her 100th and 101st goals of her fantastic career at Independence to become the schools first athlete to reach this accomplishment. She now has 31 goals on the season with another month remaining on the schedule.
Queens Grant Stallions:Â
Baseball:
Andy Duran – In a recent game against the Cardinals from Union Academy, the junior went 3-5 with 2 RBI’s and 2 doubles. In the second game he went 2-4, along with 2 stolen bases and is beginning to show why he was selected All-State in his sophomore season.
Spencer Smith – The senior went 3-4 with 2 RBI’s in the against Union Academy in the doubleheader opener for the Stallions.
Jacob Beard – The junior went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s and 3 runs scored in the opener. Then he followed up with 1-2 performance with 2 runs scored, worked a walk and added a stolen base on a good days work for the Stallions.  He also pitched a scoreless inning on the mound in relief.
