Maya Douglas – The sophomore standout went 2-4 including two extra base hits a double and home run to lead the Patriots offensively with 3 RBI’s. Maya is hitting a tam leading .541 with 2 home runs and 19 RBI’s on the season.
Mallory Shaver – The power hitting sophomore went 2-4 on the day. She drilled a double in the gap and picked up 2 RBI’s for the Patriots in their win over the Pirates. Shaver is hitting .526 with 5 doubles and 3 triples with 14 RBI”s on the season.
Jaylin Adkins – The junior contributed going 2-2 with two solid singles and scored a run in the game for the lady Patriots.
Brianna Grant –Â The senior has a batting average of .478 with 11 RBI’s, 2 doubles and a home run in 10 games played this season.
Soccer:Â
Annaliese Shelley – The senior midfielder scored a goal and an assist for 3 points against the Vikings. Then she scored another goal to lead her team to another 2-1 victory over East Mecklenburg. She has 28 goals and 6 assists this season.
Hannah McClain – The senior contributed a key goal and an assist for 3 points over the Vikings from North Mecklenburg in the 2-1 Patriots win.
Tamia Burgess – The freshman goalkeeper in 12 games, 960 minutes defending the net has accumulated 44 saves, has one clean sheet, has allowed 15 goals, and has 6 wins against 4 losses.
Queens Grant Stallions
Baseball:Â
Nick Kuebler – The big junior went 7-7 with a home run, triple, three doubles including 8 RBI’s in a doubleheader against Bradford Preparatory this past week. On the season he leads the Stallions with .525 batting average, 13 runs, 20 RBI’s, 7 doubles, 2 triples, and a home run.
Spencer Smith – The Stallions lead-off hitter is batting a cool .435 with an OBP .491 with 20 runs scored and 8 RBI”s. He has 10 doubles, 10 stolen bases, and 5 walks.
Jacob Beard – Lefty went 5-7 against Bradford Prep with a double. He is batting .429, OBP .588, scored 15 runs, 11 RBI’s, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 10 walks, and 10 stolen bases on the season.
Andy Duran and Alwin Duran – The junior and freshman brother combination have been productive. Andy an All-State selection in 2018, is currently hitting .341 with some hard luck, his OBP .426, 15 runs, 18 RBI’s, 5 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run. While Alwin is batting .486, OBP .548, 12 runs scored, 23 RBI’s, 2 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs.
