The Moving Wall wouldn’t have been possible without YOU!
It was an honor to be able to bring The Moving Wall to Mint Hill and the staff at town hall wants to thank everyone who came out to remember and honor our Veterans over the weekend.
Many Veterans, family and community members came out to pay homage. While it was a somber affair, there was also a sense of unity among those visiting.
We especially want to thank our volunteers.
The Moving Wall requires 24/7 volunteer coverage and we are so proud that our town is home to so many who are willing to come and help out. Volunteers helped visitors find names on The Wall, assisted them with locating them and even offered support to those who required it.
Volunteers came from all over the local area, as well as from several organizations in Mint Hill who also worked hard on the planning committee to bring The Wall to our town. Thank you to the Purple Heart Chapter #634; VFW Post 4059; Ladies Auxiliary Post #4059, American Legion #555; Marine Corp League #750; Patriot Guard Riders; Honor the Warriors; and NCDAR. Employees of the Town of Mint Hill including Public Works, Fire and Police worked hard to bring the site to life.
Bringing The Moving Wall to Mint Hill wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our sponsors including Metrolina Mulch; Novant Health; Woodman Life; Edifice Construction; WastePro; McEwen Funeral Services; Mint Hill Dentistry; Lowe’s; Marine Corps League; Arby’s and many more. Thank you!
Again, thank you to everyone involved and everyone who visited, and a special thank you to all of our Veterans for their service to our country.
