Beer Cocktails

Warm weather barbecues call for cool, refreshing drinks. If you still haven’t tried a beer cocktail, it’s time to get on board! Here are a few simple recipes to try this season!

Shandy/Panaché/Radler/Clara- Depending on where you live in the world, this cocktail can take on many names!

Mix equal parts beer with either lemonade, lemon-lime soda, ginger-ale or ginger beer.

Beer Punch
Use a large pitcher or bowl and mix 12 ounces of lemon-lime soda, 2 1/2 cups of pineapple juice, and six bottles of your preferred beer. Slice up your favorite fruit and float it on top of the pitcher or bowl. Serve in individual glasses.

Chelada
Mexican beer & fresh lime juice. Serve in a salt rimmed glass on ice.

Black Velvet – This drink was created in London in 1861 for Prince Alberts funeral.

Equal parts of two types of beer or cider layered on top of each other in a glass. There are many different variations, some include:

– One part dark stout, one part brut sparkling wine or champagne.

– One part dark stout, one part light colored ale.
To create a layered effect, pour the light ale or champagne in the glass first, then slowly pour stout over the back of a spoon.

Full Moon
Equal parts hard lemonade and Belgian white ale.

Cheers!
