This recipe is will fill your home with the smells of the season. This recipe is a great way to wake up your family. Serve with coffee or cocoa.

INGREDIENTS:
• 1 C Crisco
• ½ C Sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• ½ egg
• 1¾ flour, scant
• ¼ tsp salt
• 1/3 C almonds, finely chopped, but not powdered form
• 1/3 C walnuts, finely chopped, but not powdered form
• 1/3 C filberts, finely chopped, but not powdered form

DIRECTIONS:
Cream first 4 ingredients until light and fluffy. Mix with dry ingredients. Shape into small crescents about 1 T full. Bake 12-18 minutes at 350 degrees. While hot roll in vanilla sugar.

Vanilla Sugar:
½ C 10 X sugar
½ c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
