
MINT HILL, NC – Jaden Lyles a Class of 2023 junior point guard was selected this weeks highlight Player of the Week over the holidays based on his performance year to date and in the North Iredell Holiday Classic.
Lyles has been a major contributor and leader on the court for the Rocky River Ravens this entire season. He has been very impressive making plays for himself and his teammates while showing good court awareness and leadership.
At 6′ 2″ and 180 pounds the youngster uses his stature to his full advantage and played extremely well against a very tough and well coached North Mecklenburg team recently this season. He is also a shooting guard and is averaging a team high 17.7 points per game putting him among the top scoring leaders in the 4A Conference.
Lyles is averaging 3.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.3 steals, and is shooting 57% from the floor for the high flying Ravens. He averaged over 20.0 points per game in the North Iredell Holiday Classic. He scored 21 points against Bessemer City in the Ravens 56-42 win. He had 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and shot 77% from the floor. He also had a solid basketball game for the tournament championship against Mooresville scoring 22 points in the 72-69 loss in the title game. Lyles was selected to the all-tournament team based on his excellent overall performance along with teammate Henry Price.
