For the second consecutive week Rocky River point and shooting guard Jaden Lyles stands out as the top performer for the week. The returning hustling junior continues to show he is a key factor in the Ravens current success.

In the game against Butler a big local rival he scored 14 points, had 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal in the 66-62 conference win on Tuesday night. He then followed up with a huge game against another conference team from Providence. He scored a game high 24 points grabbed 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals leading to points, including 1 block against a very competitive Panther basketball team.



Lyles season stats are excellent as well showing up in the top tier rankings in many categories providing real value to his selection. He is averaging 17.9 points per game in the 11 games played to date scoring 197 total points. This ranks him fifth overall in the conference. He is second in assists with 43, second in free-throws with 63 shooting at 69%, fourth in FG% at 58% making 67 of 115 attempts, the thirteenth in steals with 16, and eighteenth in rebounds with 38 from a guard position

Overall, this season beyond the 17.9 points per game average, he has 3.5 assists, 3.9 steals, almost 2.0 rebounds, and an important 3.2 tips or deflections on average in every game played on defense.

We review several players before we nominate or select a Player of the Week, especially in consecutive week’s. However, Jaden Lyles clearly stands out above the pack once again based on his consistent performance.
