MINT HILL, NC – The junior wide receiver, corner back, free safety, and kick return specialist for the Rocky River Ravens football team had a solid game on Friday night at the Rock. Offensively Norris had four pass receptions for 55 yards, four kickoff returns for 126 yards, and rushed for 14 yards on three carries totaling 195 yards of combined offense. He also caught the only touchdown pass in the fourth quarter for the Ravens to put his team on the scoreboard from QB Khalil Archie on a nice reception deep in the end zone showing excellent concentration. While on defense he made a solid contribution in an overall good team effort. His time on the football field was very productive and he clearly stood out on Friday night for the Ravens.
Last season Norris was on the JV team, the youngster showed his raw potential by impressing head football coach Orlando Gray. He has speed, is athletic, runs with authority, has soft hands, provides versatility, and can play both offense and defense for the Ravens. “Keep a watchful eye on Antwoine Norris,” said coach Gray.
The Mint Hill Times sports writers would like to congratulate Antwoine Norris for being selected this week’s Player of the Week.
