CHARLOTTE – With National Love Your Pet Day coming up on February 20th, we can’t think of a better time to talk about some ways to show love to your fur babies! The first thing some would think of would be giving a pet treats, but there are other creative ways to show your affection. Here are a few:

Play: Playing with your fur baby has both physical and mental benefits. If you play fetch with your dog or dangle a toy for your kitty, they’ll see that you are spending time and having fun with them. You’ll also be keeping them mentally stimulated, which is so important for pets.

Pamper: There are many ways to pamper your pet like regular grooming. Also, keeping your fur baby healthy and strong is one of the best things you can do for them, so consider taking your dog for a hike in a new spot, or maybe take your pet to a pet store and let them pick out a new toy.

Pet: This one may seem pretty obvious and easy, and it is! Most pets love being petted, especially dogs and cats. If you don’t already know, try to learn their favorite spot to be rubbed, whether it’s their back, belly, or head.
