For many years I was still scrambling to get my gifts together well up until the day before Christmas. Maybe your delay is caused by a limited budget or you’re simply not sure what to give the people in your life. Whatever the reason, if you still have gifts to give, it’s a priority. I had a conversation today with a friend who happens to be a client. She suggested, as she was doing with her family, to give gifts of wellness. We think of the gift of wellness to mean choosing something that promotes a healthy life and makes one’s health a priority.
Examples of wellness gifts are those that help people honor themselves. Perhaps it’s a massage that helps them relax or take their mind off of the stress of the season. Maybe it’s a gift of lavender-infused Epson salts, or am essential oil-infused candle. Look for homemade soaps they can pamper themselves with. All gifts that can be bought with a budget in mind and can be found right here in the Mint Hill area. Shop local when you can.
When people think of massage, it is still thought of as a way to pamper. Or as a gift of luxury and there’s nothing wrong with that. The real gift we give in massage is to show that every single one of us has value. We all have worth and we are all worthy of peaceful, pain-free, happy lives. May your gifts celebrate the people you love.
