Massage, A Connection

CHARLOTTE – I know we’ve talked about massage and trauma, massage and injuries, but how about what some might call the ‘wooo’ side of massage. Often people call this side of massage the ‘wooooo’ side because they don’t understand it. It might not be something you can put your finger on, or even seem like a limp or a shoulder that’s frozen, but it’s there and it’s real. And it just may show you the connection between mind, body, and spirit and how important it can be when it pertains to your physical body.

Here’s an example: stress. People might say that stress isn’t that big of a deal, they have it in their lives but so does everyone, right? Sure! But I can tell you from experience that stress, although it’s not something you can pick up with your hands or necessarily see with your eyes, is tangible. It is something that will show in your health if not managed in a positive way.

Massage offers you the ability to successfully manage stress, sometimes even eliminate it. Some examples are people I see that come to me to get a handle on their anxiety. Massage helps them to be quiet, relax, take a step out of their busy lives, and retreat for an hour (or more). This is a great way to proactively take control of your spirit. And by controlling and nurturing your spirit, you’re health (the physical parts we see) will naturally start to show changes. Positive changes.
