In Charge of Our Body

CHARLOTTE – Some professionals think your head is the beginning, middle, and end to controlling what goes on in your body. Or that the head and the sacram (that squarish flat bone at the bottom of your back) are in charge of everything. But what we are finding is that there are several ways to get the results you need when it comes to feeling better.

Lately, I’ve been reading how working with the sacram seems to be a good starting point to reset your body. It’s central to your body and it’s attached to the spine which also is integral to what and how we are feeling. What’s really cool to see and experience with my clients is that whatever is ailing them, if we ‘reset’ the sacram it appears to help everything else feel better.

For example, I’ve been doing a move with my clients that have hip issues and back issues. It’s as if I’m ‘resetting’ their pelvic girdle area. What’s a pelvic girdle? Think of it as a girdle, or a holder, that keeps your hips, low back, and pelvis stable. If you can stabilize this area of the body,  then it can reset the entire hip area and allow for other parts of the body to fall into place.

For example, we work on the hips and reset the area, then perhaps we will free up other muscles that are aggravated. We can start with the hips and then progress to other issues in the body.
