It is time for our annual series on what is new in travel, and this will be a very exciting year coming up to travel
One of the biggest events this year in the NEW category is not new. It will be the last chance to make travel arrangements for the Oberammergau Passion Play. We covered this in a previous series, but this event is held once every 10 years, and 2020 is the next event. If you wanted to attend one of these events in 2020, you really will need to make your arrangements as early as possible because they expect to sell out at every presentation. Contact us now for information about how you can be there in 2020.
CRUISING. 2019 will be another exciting year for new cruise ships. Last year MSC brought the MSC Seaside to the American market in Miami. To say the ship was a success would be an understatement. MSC is working very hard to bring American style cruising, out of American Ports, while retaining a distinctive Italian flavor. They have an ambitious plan to introduce new ships every year, and 2019 will see the Bellisima and Grandiosa join the new Seaview which was just christened. MSC has been hard at work with electronic innovation, introducing Wearable Security for finding family members on board to the MSC for Me app for making reservations and checking your ship account. The new ships will offer Cirque du Soleil shows in custom built theatres. They will also be the first company to have LNG Powered ships by 2023 as they begin testing this new power source in 2019. Look for MSC in US Ports in 2019 with 3 ships.
