CHARLOTTE – Adventure Travel is rapidly combining with Learning Travel. A shining example is the Galapagos Islands. Certainly one of the few remaining “Darwin” sites in the world. The area has reduced the number of operators that are allowed to cruise and stop on the islands. This has led to the introduction of some of the most upscale luxury operators the area has ever seen. Silversea Cruise Company is introducing the Silver Origin, an Ultra Luxury Yacht designed specifically for the archipelago. Again, more space, better protocols, more personal attention, and the epitome of premium service. For my clients who want Luxury and Safety combined, I can always comfortably recommend Silversea, without exception.
While we are looking at Cruising, the industry has certainly presented some of the most upscale ships in history. Atlas is a new Cruise Company operating 1 Luxury Yacht called World Navigator. Starting out in the Aegean Sea area, they will add more yachts and more locations, including Antarctica. Besides the upscale luxury, what may set them apart from others is the “All-Inclusive Luxe” concept. They will include airfare, transfers, Fine Dining, top-shelf wine and liquor, a shore excursion in every port, gratuities, and a brand new ship. When a person adds up everything that is included, this new company has a winner for discerning couples.
Regent Seven Seas introduced the new Seven Seas Splendor. With an inaugural sailing in Europe in September, the ship sold out in record time. It is difficult to find space, but it seems the effort will be rewarded with a leader in upscale sailing. Regent has always been a top producer of luxury adventures, and we are sure Splendor will not disappoint.
