Where? This is the great denominator. Unfortunately, there is only one truly all – inclusive resort in the continental USA. That resort is in Florida, so if you want all inclusive and do not want to fly, you have one choice.
Moving on, the all inclusive experience is vast in the Caribbean and Mexico, as well as the Dominican Republic. Mexico has the biggest selection. For Non-Stop activity, the resorts in the Hotel Zone on the Cancun Peninsula are a very good choice. There are over 100, ranging from modest to moderate luxury, and from some family resorts to some couples only resorts. These resorts tend to be moderate to large in building size, but small in land mass. This is sometimes considered a good advantage since you are able to walk the entire Hotel Zone, passing all these hotels, and get a feel for the differences. On the negative side, it is rarely serene. All hotels front on one street, and traffic is hectic
Stretching down the Caribbean coastline from there for about 70 miles southward, are every imaginable type of resort. There are Uber Luxury to moderate. There are adults only, family, combination, nudist, and adults only exciting. One of the world highest rank luxury all inclusive individual resorts is located within this landscape. The beach at Maroma has been voted worlds best more than once in multiple venues and holds that title today among many venues. Several Leading Hotels of The World members have resorts here.
Jamaica is one of the most popular all inclusive resort islands. Home of at least one of the world leading resort families, this island is renowned for lush forest, great beaches, and good infrastructure. Road improvements have been dramatic in the last 10 years. On of the resorts families here offers 12 different resorts, each rated number one year after year. One of those resorts offers Butler Service by trained in England Butlers, at prices competitive with suites in other resorts that do not offer Butler Service. For the couple who would like the very best accommodations available in the world, this company offers a Butler service over the water bungalow. This one of a kind type of accommodation is sold out months in advance wherever they offer it. This company even puts you in a private welcome lounge at the airport, provides you with refreshments and soft seats, then transports you in company transportation to the resorts. Now that is a vacation or honeymoon par excellence. Ask any of my Mint Hill Clients and they will tell you, 100%, YES.
St Lucia has been voted number one honeymoon destination in the Caribbean most every year. The island is lush, resorts are located on bays and coves as well as long stretches of open water. There is every category of resort from moderate to Uber Luxury, to three-walled. Yes three-walled. One resort has suites on the mountainside that have only three walls. The fourth side is open to the forest, with an outdoor shower. There is every possible past time form unlimited Scuba, to untain climbing, to zip line, to deep sea fishing. It has something for everyone. To that point, there is no resort family that has 3 resorts here and are building number four. Each of these resorts has its own personality, from serene to exciting. The big difference is they are 15 minutes apart and you have unlimited privileges at all three. That means you have 26 restaurants to chose from, all included. One important point about this resort family is there is usually only one buffet restaurant per resort at breakfast only. The rest of the time every restaurant is ala cater menu and table service. Top shelf wines and liquors are served in both restaurants, as well as at over 50 bars, all included.
There are a few other Islands that have more than one all inclusive resort such as Grenada, Antigua, and Aruba. St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands also has an all inclusive resort as does St Martin which has several. All islands are recovering well from the Hurricane effects.
