A late afternoon flight and 1 plane change to Aer Lingus, and we were off. The flight over was flawless, and the flight staff was very attentive.

Phil recommended we take a nap on arrival, so he arranged for early check in. That was spot on, as we did not sleep much on the flight over. We met our tour director for dinner, as he explained what was going to happen and when.

Tonight’s dinner was one of 17 included in our tour, and it was a great first meal in Scotland. Edinburg was such a special place to visit as our tour guide took us to some of the important sights.

Phil had allowed for the afternoon of free time, so we could look into relatives there in Edinburg. Just as our research showed, one of Glen’s great Aunts was still living there.

A quick phone call, a short Taxi ride, and we were meeting family we never believed existed. What a highlight.

Then we were off to St Andrews, so Glen could actually see where his favorite pastime (besides me), began – GOLF. He is still grinning. A trip to the Mountain area and Loch Ness was like a dream, but actually happening.
