Thursday, March 28

The Queen Charlotte Spring Fair will be held at the Route 29 Pavilion in Concord March 28-April 14. Hours are: Monday-Thursday 4-10 p.m., Friday 4-11 p.m., Saturday 12-11 p.m., and Sunday 12-10 p.m. Ticket prices are: adults $10, children ages 5-12 $5, children 4 and under free. Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Family Story Time will be held at 11:15 a.m.

Reading Buddies for children ages 5 through 11 will be available at 4 and 4:30 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a teen volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required.

One-on-one math tutoring sessions with a teen volunteer will be available at 4 p.m. Registration is required.

Bring the whole family in their pjs for Pajama Story Time at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, March 30

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

One-on-one math tutoring sessions with a teen volunteer will be available at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Registration is required.

Family Story Time will be held at 9:30 a.m.

The Chess Club will meet at 3 p.m.

Monday, April 1

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Families with babies and toddlers can visit the library at 9:30 a.m. for Family Story Time: 0-2. The program will include stories, songs and movement.

Reading Buddies for children ages 5 through 11 will be available at 4:00, 4:30, 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a teen volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required.

Tuesday, April 2

Gold panning opens for the 2019 season at Reed Gold Mine in Midland. The cost per pan is $3.21. You must be 8 or older to pan by yourself. Children under 8 must have the help of an adult. Reed Gold Mine is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit historicsites.nc.gov.

Baby Story Time for babies birth through 17 months will be held at 10:15 a.m.

Tiny Tots Story Time for toddlers ages 18 to 23 months will be held at 11:15 a.m.

The American Girl Book Club will meet at 4 p.m. This month’s topic is Molly McIntire. Registration is required.

Reading Buddies for children ages 5 through 11 will be available at 5:00, 5:30, 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a teen volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required.

Wednesday, April 3

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Two Time Story Time for toddlers age 24 to 36 months will be held at 10:15 a.m.

Preschool Story Time for children age 3 to 5 will be held at 11:15 a.m.

Reading Buddies for children ages 5 through 11 will be available at 4:00, 4:30 and 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a teen volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required.
