Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Family Story Time will be held at 11:15 a.m.

Reading Buddies for children ages 5 through 11 will be available at 4 and 4:30 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a teen volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required.

One-on-one math tutoring sessions with a teen volunteer will be available at 4 p.m. Registration is required.



Saturday, March 23

The Charlotte Hornets will take on the Boston Celtics at 6 p.m. at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte. The first 7,500 fans will receive a NBA Jam t-shirt.  Visit www.nba.com/hornets for a schedule, promotions and ticket information.

The Charlotte Checkers will take on the Hartford Wolf Pack at 3 p.m. at the Bojangles’ Coliseum in Charlotte.  Take the ice with the players after the game during the post-game skate.  The cost to skate is $8 for those who bring their own skates and $10 for those who rent skates. Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Families with babies and toddlers can visit the library at 9:30 a.m. for Family Story Time: 0-2. The program will include stories, songs and movement.

Children will enjoy stories, songs and activities in both English and Spanish during the Stories in 2 Languages: Spanish program at 10:15 a.m.

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

An Active Reading Workshop will be held at 10:15 a.m.  Parents and children can learn fun ideas and activities to support early literacy at home.  Registration is required for this four part workshop series.

Preschool Story Time for children age 3 to 5 will be held at 11:15 a.m.
