Family Story Time will be held at the Mint Hill Library at 11:15 a.m.
Tickets are currently on sale for the Valentine Dance in Matthews. The dance will be held at Crews Recreation Center on Saturday, February 9 from 4-7 p.m. The evening is for adults and their children and will include dinner, refreshments, desserts, photography, music, dancing, Valentine crafts and takeaway gifts. Any combination of significant adult and child are welcome. Tickets are $15 per person and are available online or in person at the Matthews Community Center or Crews Recreation Center. Discovery Place Nature in Charlotte will host a Star Party from 7-9 p.m. Tour the night sky with telescopes, activities, crafts and special planetarium shows. This event is for museum members only. The event is free, but requires advanced registration. Visit discoveryplace.org for more information.

The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will present Judy Moody and Stink: The Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Treasure Hunt January 18 through February 10 at the Wells Fargo Playhouse.
