The Charlotte Motor Speedway will host the annual Speedway Christmas from November 18 through December 31. The Christmas light show boasts over 3.5 million lights and a Christmas village including a 50 foot Ferris wheel, Bethlehem village, photos with Santa and more. Holiday on Ice, Charlotte’s outdoor ice skating rink, is open for the 2018 season. Starting November 16, the rink is open Wednesday through Sunday. Families with babies and toddlers can visit the library at 9:30 a.m. for Family Story Time: 0-2. The program will include stories, songs and movement.
An Active Reading Workshop will be held at 4 p.m. Parents and children can learn fun ideas and activities to support early literacy at home. Registration is required for this four part workshop series.
