Family Story Time will be held at 11:15 a.m.
Reading Buddies for children ages five through 12 will be available at 4 and 4:30 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a teen volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required.
Friday, June 16
Matthews Playhouse will present “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” June 9-25. Showtimes are on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Ticket prices are $19 for adults and $13 for students and seniors. Visit matthewsplayhouse.com for showtimes and to purchase tickets.

Saturday, June 17
Discovery Place Nature in Charlotte will hold Farm Day from 9 a.m. to noon. Children are invited to get up close to farm animals such as pigs, goats and sheep, climb on a farm tractor and make a farm craft. Children will also enjoy outdoor games, face painting, story time and puppet shows as they learn about farms. The event is included with museum admission.

Children can strengthen reading skills by reading aloud to a therapy dog during the Paws to Read program at 10:30 a.m.
The Teen Book Club will meet at 2 p.m. This month’s selection is Origin by Jessica Khoury. Registration is required.
Teens ages 12-18 are invited to learn about the health benefits of yoga and practice yoga techniques during the Charlotte Kids Yoga program with Karey Tom at 3 p.m. Registration is required.

Baby Story Time for babies birth through 17 months will be held at 10:15 a.m.
Tiny Tots Story Time for toddlers ages 18 to 23 months will be held at 11:15 a.m.
The Charlotte Hornets’ Book Bus and Hugo’s P.L.A.Y. Book presentation will be held at 1 p.m. Registration is required.
The Teen Comic Book Club will be held at 6 p.m. Registration is required.

Children ages 5 to 11 are invited to experience traditional storytelling with Frontline Storyteller Rene Kimray at 3 p.m. Registration is required.
