Town of Matthews holiday event tickets go on sale Friday, November 2 at 9 a.m. Tickets can be purchased in person, by phone 704-321-7275 or online. The Nutcracker will be performed November 24, 25, December 1 and 2. Tickets are $7 for ages 13 and up and $5 for ages 12 and under. The Sugar Plum Tea Party will immediately follow the 3 p.m. matinee performances of The Nutcracker on November 25 and December 2. Tickets are $5 per person. EpicFest will be held at ImaginOn in Charlotte from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. EpicFest is a free literary festival that connects families with authors, illustrators and books. The Family Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring appearances by award-winning authors and illustrators, group art, early learning stations, gaming, family snacks, music mixing with a DJ, book giveaways, signings and a musical performance by Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band.
