Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:



Family Story Time will be held at 11:15 a.m.

Bring the kids in their pjs for Pajama Story Time at 6:30 p.m.

Friday, September 28

The Children’s Theater of Charlotte will present Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical from September 28 to October 21 at McColl Family Theater. The play is recommended for ages 6 and older. Visit www.ctcharlotte.org for show times and ticket information.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket to Stumptown Park in downtown Matthews for “Food Truck Friday.” The event is held on second and fourth Fridays, April through September, from 5-9 p.m. The event features food and dessert trucks, music and bounce houses. Tonight’s concert will feature The Entertainers. Check out “Matthews Food Truck Fridays” on Facebook for up-to-date information for each event.

Saturday, September 29

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Family Story Time will be held at 9:30 a.m.

The Chess Club will meet at 3 p.m.

The Independence High School football team will play a home game against East Mecklenburg at 7 p.m.

Monday, October 1

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Families with babies and toddlers can visit the library at 9:30 a.m. for Family Story Time: 0-2. The program will include stories, songs and movement.

Tuesday, October 2

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Baby Story Time for babies birth through 17 months will be held at 10:15 a.m.

Tiny Tots Story Time for toddlers ages 18 to 23 months will be held at 11:15 a.m.

The American Girl Book Club will meet at 4 p.m. Registration is required.

Wednesday, October 3

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Two Time Story Time for toddlers age 24 to 36 months will be held at 10:15 a.m.

Preschool Story Time for children age 3 to 5 will be held at 11:15 a.m.

An Active Reading Workshop will be held at 12 p.m. Parents and children ages 3-5 can learn fun ideas and activities to support early literacy at home. Registration is required for this workshop series.
