Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:



Family Story Time will be held at 11:15 a.m.

A STEM 101 workshop on Skyscrapers will be held at 2 p.m. The class is designed for children ages 10-18. Registration is required.

Reading Buddies for children ages 5 through 12 will be available at 4 and 4:30 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a teen volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required.

Bring the whole family in their pjs for Pajama Story Time at 6:30 p.m.

Friday, March 30

The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will present The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe March 9 to April 5 at the Wells Fargo Playhouse in Charlotte. This 55 minute, two person adaptation of C. S. Saturday, March 31

Historic Latta Plantation will host the annual Latta Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is for children ages 1-10. Admission includes one egg hunt, the opportunity to meet Baxter the Bunny, children’s storytime, crafts and farm animals. Tickets are $8 per child with one free adult per paying child. Sea Life Aquarium in Concord will host an Easter celebration March 31 and April 1. There will be interactive Easter egg hunt dive shows, meet and greets with Sharky, seashell painting, Waldo-themed scavenger hunts and educational workshops on sea animal eggs. Find one of two hidden golden eggs and receive a free annual pass to the aquarium. All activities are included in the general admission price. Children can strengthen reading skills by reading aloud to a therapy dog during the Paws to Read program at 10:30 a.m.

The Chess Club will meet at 3 p.m.

Monday, April 2

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Families with babies and toddlers can visit the library at 9:30 a.m. for Family Story Time: 0-2. The program will include stories, songs and movement.

Tuesday, April 3

Reed Gold Mine will host a World War I traveling exhibit from April 3 to March 10. The free exhibit will include WWI uniforms, equipment, photographs, handmade items from the war, a reproduction of a trench wall, period films and music and hands-on activities. Special children’s events are scheduled for May 7 and 14.

A STEM 101 workshop on Candy Science will be held at 6 p.m. The class is designed for children ages 10-18. Registration is required.

Wednesday, April 4

The Charlotte Checkers will take on Lehigh Valley at 7 p.m. at the Bojangles’ Coliseum in Charlotte. The Checkers will offer a Winning Wednesday promotion.
