An Active Reading Workshop will be held at 2 p.m. Parents and children ages 2-5 can learn fun ideas and activities to support early literacy at home. Registration is required for this four part workshop series.
Reading Buddies for children ages 5 through 12 will be available at 4 and 4:30 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a teen volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required.
Friday, March 23
The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will present The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe March 9 to April 5 at the Wells Fargo Playhouse in Charlotte. This 55 minute, two person adaptation of C. S. During the month of March, Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville will celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with silly stories and crafts every Wednesday and Friday at 11:15 a.m. The program is included with museum admission. For more information, visit kids.discoveryplace.org/huntersville.
Saturday, March 24
The Town of Matthews will host the annual Easter Eggstravaganza in Stumptown Park for children ages 10 and under. There will be refreshments, music, egg hunts and visits with the Easter Bunny. Approximate egg hunt times are as follows: ages 1-2 (with parents) at 12 p.m.; ages 3-4 (with parents) at 12:15 p.m.; ages 5-6 at 12:30 p.m.; ages 7-8 at 12:45 p.m.; ages 9-10 at 1:00 p.m.
