Thursday, December 21
The Leonard Bearstein animatronic symphony orchestra will perform Monday, November 27 through Thursday, December 28. The orchestra is located in Founders Hall, in the Bank of America Corporate Center in Charlotte. Performances are free to attend. A schedule of performance dates and times can be found on the Leonard Bearstein Symphony Orchestra Facebook page.

The Charlotte Checkers will take on Hershey at 7 p.m. at the Bojangles’ Coliseum in Charlotte. The Checkers will celebrate Carolina Football Night benefiting the Cam Newton Foundation. Players will wear specialty jerseys that the NFL quarterback helped design. The jerseys will be auctioned immediately following the game. Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:
Family Story Time will be held at 11:15 a.m.
Reading Buddies for children ages five through 12 will be available at 4 and 4:30 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a teen volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required.
Children between the ages of 5 and 11 can come by the library at 6 p.m. to receive free homework help from a library volunteer.

Friday, December 22
The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will present “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical” November 24 to December 28. Remaining show times are December 22 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., December 23 at 11 a.m. or December 28 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Visit www.ctcharlotte.org for ticket information.

Saturday, December 23

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:
Family Story Time will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Children can learn chess basics during the Learn, Play, Connect program at 3 p.m.

Monday, December 25
Merry Christmas!

Holiday on Ice, Charlotte’s only outdoor ice skating rink, will be open from 5-10 p.m. on Christmas Day. Bring your own skates for $10 or admission plus skate rental is $14. The rink will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. most days surrounding Christmas and is open 10 a.m. to midnight on New Year’s Eve. Visit holidayonicecharlotte.com for a schedule as hours vary by day. The rink will close for the season on January 8. The skating rink is located at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza at 400 East Martin Luther King Blvd, Charlotte.

Tuesday, December 26

Wednesday, December 27
