The Leonard Bearstein animatronic symphony orchestra will perform Monday, November 27 through Thursday, December 28. The orchestra is located in Founders Hall, in the Bank of America Corporate Center in Charlotte. Performances are free to attend. The Charlotte Checkers will take on Hershey at 7 p.m. at the Bojangles’ Coliseum in Charlotte. The Checkers will celebrate Carolina Football Night benefiting the Cam Newton Foundation. Players will wear specialty jerseys that the NFL quarterback helped design. The jerseys will be auctioned immediately following the game. Children between the ages of 5 and 11 can come by the library at 6 p.m. to receive free homework help from a library volunteer.

Merry Christmas!
Holiday on Ice, Charlotte’s only outdoor ice skating rink, will be open from 5-10 p.m. on Christmas Day. Bring your own skates for $10 or admission plus skate rental is $14. The rink will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. most days surrounding Christmas and is open 10 a.m. to midnight on New Year’s Eve. Visit holidayonicecharlotte.com for a schedule as hours vary by day. The rink will close for the season on January 8. The skating rink is located at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza at 400 East Martin Luther King Blvd, Charlotte.
