Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:



Family Story Time will be held at the library at 11:15 a.m.

Rookie Science will be held at 4 p.m. Children will discover the world of science through books, hands-on educational activities, and experiments. Registration is required.

Reading Buddies for children ages 5 through 11 will be available at 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a library volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required. Registration is limited to one 30 minute session per week.

Friday, March 13

The Charlotte Hornets will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7 p.m. at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte. Visit www.nba.com/hornets for a schedule, promotions and ticket information.

The Charlotte Spring Fair will be held March 13-29 at 6558 Bruton Smith Boulevard, Concord. The event will feature midway rides, games, fair food, a petting zoo, and live entertainment. Admission prices are: $10 (ages 12+); $5 (ages 5-11); free for children 4 and under. Early bird tickets and unlimited ride wristbands can be purchased online at a discounted rate. Fair hours are: 4-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 4-11 p.m. Friday; 1-11 p.m. Saturday; 1-10 p.m. Sunday. Onsite parking is $5 (cash only). Saturday, March 14

For a full day of St. Patrick’s Day festivities, head to uptown Charlotte for the twenty-fourth annual Charlotte Goes Green Festival and Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The festival will be located on S. Tryon Street between Third Street and Stonewall Street and will be open from 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The festival features Irish music and dancing, vendors, food, and children’s activities. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at N. Tryon Street and Ninth Street, march south to Third Street, turn left on Third Street and march to Caldwell. Family Story Time will be held at 9:30 a.m.

Teens are invited to participate in Community Service Saturday at 2 p.m. Participants will work on projects to help the library and other community organizations. Registration is required.

Chess Club will meet at 3 p.m.

Sunday, March 15

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Families with babies and toddlers can visit the library at 9:30 a.m. for Family Story Time: 0-2. The program will include stories, songs, and movement.

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Two Time Story Time for toddlers age 24 to 36 months will be held at 10:15 a.m.

Preschool Story Time for children age 3 to 5 will be held at 11:15 a.m.

Reading Buddies for children ages 5 through 11 will be available at 4:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a library volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required. Registration is limited to one 30 minute session per week.
