Reading Buddies for children ages 5 through 11 will be available at 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a library volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required. Registration is limited to one 30 minute session per week.
Friday, March 6
Ticket sales begin today at 9 a.m. for Lunch with the Easter Bunny. The event will be held Friday, April 3 at Matthews Community Center. Children will eat lunch, make a craft, and have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. The event is for children ages 2 to 5. Tickets are $7 per person and can be purchased online at matthewsfun.com or at the Matthews Community Center. For more information, call 704-321-7275.

Little Aviators: Space Travel will be held at 10:30 a.m. Children ages 3 to 5 are invited to learn about space travel and explore with the Carolinas Aviation Museum. Registration is required.
Children can strengthen reading skills by reading aloud to a therapy dog during the Paws to Read program at 10:30 a.m.
