Thursday, January 30

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:



Family Story Time will be held at the library at 11:15 a.m.

Bring the whole family in their pjs for Pajama Storytime at 6:30 p.m.

Summer camp registration at Discovery Place Science begins January 23 for members and January 30 for non-members. Camps are for children in Pre-K to Grade 8. Visit science.discoveryplace.org for more information.

Saturday, February 1

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Family Story Time will be held at 9:30 a.m.

Children can strengthen reading skills by reading aloud to a therapy dog during the Paws to Read program at 10:30 a.m.

Teens are invited to participate in Community Service Saturday at 2 p.m. Participants will work on projects to help the library and other community organizations. Registration is required.

Chess Club will meet at 3 p.m.

Monday, February 3

Families with babies and toddlers can visit the Mint Hill Library at 9:30 a.m. for Family Story Time: 0-2. The program will include stories, songs and movement.

The Charlotte Hornets will take on the Orlando Magic at 7 p.m. at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte. Visit www.nba.com/hornets for a schedule, promotions and ticket information.

Tuesday, February 4

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Baby Story Time for babies birth through 17 months will be held at 10:15 a.m.

Tiny Tots Story Time for toddlers ages 18 to 23 months will be held at 11:15 a.m.

The American Girl Book Club will meet at 4 p.m. This month’s topic will be Samantha. Registration is required.

Wednesday, February 5

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Two Time Story Time for toddlers age 24 to 36 months will be held at 10:15 a.m.

Preschool Story Time for children age 3 to 5 will be held at 11:15 a.m.

Rookie Science will be held at 4 p.m. Children will discover the world of science through books, hands-on educational activities, and experiments. Registration is required.

Active Reading Workshops will be held at the Mint Hill Library at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Parents and children can learn fun ideas and activities to support early literacy at home. Registration is required for this workshop series.
