Thursday, January 9

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:



Family Story Time will be held at 11:15 a.m.

How Things Fly for Homeschool will be held at 1 p.m. The program is for homeschooled students of all ages. Participants will learn about aviation physics with flying drones and explore R/C aircraft with Molly Kinyon of Carolinas Aviation Museum. Registration is required.

Saturday, January 11

Family Story Time will be held at the Mint Hill Library at 9:30 a.m.

Monster Jam Triple Treat Series will be held at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte on January 10 and 11. Showtimes are Friday, January 10 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, January 11 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.monsterjam.com.

Monday, January 13

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:

Families with babies and toddlers can visit the library at 9:30 a.m. for Family Story Time: 0-2. The program will include stories, songs and movement.

An Evening Chess Club for all ages will be held at 5:30 p.m. Participants can learn chess basics and test skills in one-on-one or group chess games. Registration is required.

Tuesday, January 14

The Charlotte Checkers will take on Hershey at 7 p.m. at the Bojangles’ Coliseum in Charlotte. 1950s Night throwback ticket prices start at $1. Concessions will include $1 hot dogs, $.50 popcorn, and $.50 soft drinks. Visit gocheckers.com for a schedule, promotions and ticket information.

Tiny Tots Story Time for toddlers ages 18 to 23 months will be held at 11:15 a.m.

Wednesday, January 15
