Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:
Family Story Time will be held at the library at 11:15 a.m.
Reading Buddies for children ages 5 through 11 will be available at 4:00, 4:30, 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. Children will read one-on-one with a library volunteer for 30 minutes. Registration is required. Registration is limited to one 30 minute session per week.
Friday, September 20
The 55th annual Festival in the Park will be held at Freedom Park in Charlotte September 20-22. The Festival in the Park is an outdoor arts and crafts festival featuring 180 artists and craft exhibitors and nearly 1000 entertainers. Festival hours are: Friday 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit festivalinthepark.org.

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:
One-on-one math tutoring sessions with a teen volunteer will be available at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Registration is required.
Family Story Time will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Children can strengthen reading skills by reading aloud to a therapy dog during the Paws to Read program at 10:30 a.m.
A STEAM 101 program for children ages 8-15 will be held at 3 p.m. September’s topic will be the science and art of salt. Registration is required.
Chess Club will meet at 3 p.m.
Monday, September 23
Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:
Families with babies and toddlers can visit the library at 9:30 a.m. for Family Story Time: 0-2. The program will include stories, songs and movement.
Children will enjoy stories, songs and activities in both English and Spanish during the Stories in 2 Languages: Spanish program at 10:15 a.m.
The Teen Geek Club will meet at 4 p.m. Registration is required.

The 85th annual Stanly County Fair will be held Tuesday, September 24 through Saturday, September 28 at the Stanly County Fairgrounds in Albemarle. Fair hours are: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Saturday, animal shows begin at 9 a.m. and the midway opens at 12 p.m. For more information, visit www.stanlyfair.com.
