Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:
Family Story Time will be held at the library at 11:15 a.m.
Story Garden: Homeschool edition will be held at 1 p.m. Children will enjoy stories and hands-on gardening activities. Registration is required.
Friday, September 6
The Cabarrus County Fair will be held September 6-14. Fair hours are Monday-Thursday 4-10 p.m., Friday 4-11 p.m., Saturday 1-11 p.m. and Sunday 1-10 p.m. Fair admission is $8 for adults (ages 12+), $5 for children (ages 6-11), and free for children 5 and under. Saturday, September 7
The Queen City Back to School Festival will be held at the Carole Hoefener Center (615 E. 6th St. Charlotte) from 1-5 p.m. The event will feature dance performances, a bounce house, face painting, bake sale, vendors, games, and activities. There will also be a school supply drive during the event.
The Town of Mint Hill will host a free concert by Delta Fire at Veteran’s Park. Family fun activities will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. The event will include bounce houses, corn hole, giant Jenga, music, and dancing.

Children can strengthen reading skills by reading aloud to a therapy dog during the Paws to Read program at 10:30 a.m.
Monday, September 9
Families with babies and toddlers can visit the Mint Hill Library at 9:30 a.m. for Family Story Time: 0-2. The program will include stories, songs and movement.
Tuesday September 10
Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:
Baby Story Time for babies birth through 17 months will be held at 10:15 a.m.
Tiny Tots Story Time for toddlers ages 18 to 23 months will be held at 11:15 a.m.

Mint Hill Library children’s activities for today are as follows:
Two Time Story Time for toddlers age 24 to 36 months will be held at 10:15 a.m.
Preschool Story Time for children age 3 to 5 will be held at 11:15 a.m.
