The Matthews Alive Labor Day Festival will be held Friday, August 30 through Monday, September 2. The festival will kick off Friday night with $15 all-you-can-ride wristbands, shag dancing, live entertainment and more. Friday festival hours are 6-10 p.m.
Saturday, August 31
Family Story Time will be held at the Mint Hill Library 9:30 a.m.
The Matthews Alive Labor Day Festival will be held Friday, August 30 through Monday, September 2. The parade will begin Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. The Arts and Crafts Pavilion opens at 10 a.m. There will be carnival rides, live entertainment, festival food, vendors, and children’s entertainment and activities throughout the day. Saturday main festival hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Kid’s Connection hours are 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Arts and Crafts hours are 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Labor Day
The Matthews Alive Labor Day Festival will be held Friday, August 30 through Monday, September 2. Monday at Matthews Alive will feature arts and crafts, carnival rides, live entertainment, festival food, and children’s entertainment and activities throughout the day. Monday main festival hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kid’s Connection hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Arts and Crafts hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Towers of Tomorrow with Lego Bricks will be on display at Discovery Place Science in Charlotte through September 2. Over three quarters of a million Lego bricks were used to create the 20 Lego skyscrapers in this exhibit. The Lego towers were constructed by Ryan McNaught, one of only 14 certified LEGO professionals worldwide. After you view the exhibit, challenge your own creativity by building with over 200,000 Lego bricks. Admission to Towers of Tomorrow is $3 in addition to general museum admission.
