Need to promote your business but don’t have a lot of money for advertising?
I often suggest business owners first look at what they can do for free or for very little investment to promote their business.
One of the most overlooked opportunities for marketing also happens to be one of the simplest: creating an email signature. You probably send numerous emails daily so take this opportunity to make your email work for you. E-mail presents an incredibly easy way to brand your business and promote your products and services, without even thinking about it.
Okay, so you have to think about it at least once to get started. First, think of the email signature the same way you think of business cards: it needs to reflect your brand. It should contain your name and title as well as important contact
information.
Tips to keep in mind:
Use your logo colors
Consider using your tag line
Include links to your website and social media networks
Use no more than five lines
Email signatures for employees should all be uniform and consistent
Your email signature is also a great place to include a promotional message. You can use it to promote a special offer with a direct link to website with more details.
