Independence Patriots

Baseball: 



Jonathon Todaro – The Indy senior hurler pitched a solid 6.0 innings while throwing 15 first-pitch strikes, accumulating 7 strikeouts and a WHIP 1.00 giving the Patriots a huge conference victory set the tone for the week.

Carson Gesing – In the Tuesday 4-2 win over the Ragin’ Bulls from Hickory Ridge he closed out the win by pitching the seventh facing four batters with one strikeout to earn the save. He also pitched a solid sixth inning striking out two Bulls in the Indy 7-5 win.

Lucas Turner – The senior blasted a triple to drive in the two winning runs to break a 2-2 tie giving the Patriots a 4-2 win over the Ragin’ Bulls.

Honorable MentionTyson Clawson, Bryson Jusko, Wilson Lohrer, Brandon Moser all had key hits for the Patriots during this past week’s competition making a solid contribution to two conference victories.

Softball:

Emma Wren – The freshman went 4-5 to spark the Patriots in the lead-off spot to set the table for a very potent offense.

Abrianna Berry – The senior power hitter blasted 2 home runs for 4 RBI’s while going 3-4 in the Lady Patriots rout over Ardrey Kell recently.

Midori Walkup – The sophomore went 4-5 with 2 RBI’s in the win over the Knights.

Jaylin Adkins – The senior hurler pitched 5 innings allowing only 3 hits, 2 earned runs with 7 strikeouts. She also went 2-4 while in the batter’s box including a double.

Mallory Shaver – The junior batted 3-5 in the contest while blasting a double and driving in 5 RBI’s for the Patriots.

Queen’s Grant Stallions

Baseball: 

Leo Hoffer – The senior led the charge for the Stallions going 3-4 with an RBI offensively.

Jacob Beard – The senior went 1-2 with 2 RBI’s against Carolina International School.

Andrew Ollenberger – The lead-off hitter went 2-5 to set the table in key situations during the 14-0 rout of the Comets.

Cam King – The junior pitched a solid 3.2 innings allowing just 1 hit and tallying 7 strikeouts facing 11 hitters. He was also named the player of the game by the coaching staff.
