Independence Patriots 

Basketball: 



Nygell Verdier – The senior forward scored 18 points, grabbed 8 rebounds had a blocked shot and two deflections in the Patriots big conference championship win.

Anthony Allen – The senior guard scored 13 points on Friday night while playing excellent defense against two of the Mustangs quick guards making an important contribution.

De’Drick Givens – The senior forward added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in the win over Myers Park.

Jalen Hinton – The sophomore guard scored 10 points, including two 3-pointers and 1 steal off the bench for the Patriots.

Omarion Bodrick: Had a big game against Rocky River scoring 18 points including 3 slam dunks in the conference win recently. He also had a solid game vs. Myers Park.

Girls Basketball: 

Braylyn Milton – The junior combination guard and forward scored 18 points against Myers Park to lead the charge for the lady Patriots in a huge conference match-up. She scored 29 points against Rocky River on Tuesday night.

Honorable Mention: Trinity Thompson 21 points vs. Rocky River, Averie DiBenedetto, Gracie Breckenridge, Laura Flynn and Alex Barrino all made a significant contribution in both important conference games this week which includes a win over Rocky River.

Queen’s Grant Stallions 

Basketball:

Jeremiah Murphy – The senior and team leading scorer drilled 30 points, hauled down 10 rebounds for the double-double including 4 assists on senior night in the win over Bradford Prep.

Loren Boyette –  “LB” contributed 15 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists in the conference win on Friday night.

Josh Williams – The young guard scored 10 points and added 10 assists in the victory on Friday night.

Note: Both Jeremiah Murphy and Loren “LB” Boyette are now the third and fourth leading scorers in school basketball history.

Rocky River Ravens 

Girls Basketball:

Delayzha Dixon – The senior scored 41 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the double-double in the loss to Independence.
