Independence Patriots

Men’s Basketball: 



Anthony Allen – The senior guard had himself another solid game leading all scorers with 20 points in the Patriots big win over Hickory Ridge at the “Big I.” He was also named “Player of the Game” by coach Preston Davis.

Nygell Verdier  – The senior scored 15 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, along with 2 assists in the conference win over the Ragin’ Bulls.

Omarion  Bodrick – The junior contributed 12 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks for the Patriots in front of the hometown crowd on Friday night.

Girls Basketball: 

Braylan Milton – The junior standout scored 19 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, along with 6 assists in the win 47-42 win over the Lady Ragin’ Bulls on Friday night.

Trinity Thompson – Contributed 12 points, 4 rebounds and had 1 assist in another solid game performance for the Lady Patriots.

Ayanna Anderson – The senior added 8 points, 20 rebounds, and added 2 steals on her way to two back-back outstanding games. She was also named “Player of the Week” by Coach Lauren Lewis.

Grace Breckenridge – The junior made a nice contribution grabbing 8 rebounds, 5 blocked shots and adding 2 points offensively to assist the Lady Patriots in their home win.

Queen’s Grant High School 

Men’s Basketball: 

LB Boyette – The senior lead all scorers with 26 points, had 10 rebounds and 4 steals for a double-double in the Stallions big win over Grace Academy.

Jeremiah Murphy – The other senior who represents this dynamic duo for the Stallions scored 25 points, hauled down 11 rebounds for another double-double.

Jeremiah Wooten – The junior contributed offensively, while adding 7 rebounds and 5 steals in the win over Grace Academy.

Girls Basketball:

Lily Gorum – The 6’1″ freshman Lady Stallion scored 8 points, pulled down 6 rebounds along with adding multiple assists for Queen’s Grant. She was also named “Player of the Game” by her coach for her scrappy and competitive performance.

Rocky River Ravens: 

Men’s Basketball:

Stephon Richards – The junior guard had another solid performance scoring 17 points, while providing multiple assists and playing hard against the Butler Bulldogs.

Calik “Duke” Thomas – The junior contributed 11 points, hauled down 8 rebounds, and played solid defense for the Ravens against Butler on Friday night.

Butler Bulldogs: 

Men’s Basketball: 

Patrick Wessler – The 7’0″ sophomore scored 17 points, hauled down 13 rebounds for the double-double. He also had 2 blocked shots, 2 deflections and 5 assists in the big conference win over Rocky River.
