Independence Patriots  

Men’s Basketball: 



Nygell Verdier – The senior scored 18 points, shot 50% from the floor, hauled down 8 rebounds, and added 2 assists against Audrey Kell. He increased his average points per game to 14.3 for the Patriots.

Anthony Allen – The senior guard contributed 13 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and played solid back court defense for the Patriots against the Knights.

Girl’s Basketball:

Trinity Thompson – The Lady Patriot scored 21 points to lead all scorers in the teams big win over Ardrey Kell 44-43. Thompson scored 7 points in 53 seconds, 2 points after a defensive rebound, she went full court for a layup, with 23 seconds remaining stole a pass and made another layup. Then with 10 seconds she forced a turnover and drilled a 3-pointer giving Indy the lead 35-33 to end the 3rd period to provide a major momentum swing.

Ayanna Anderson – The senior forward had her best all-around game of the season. She contributed 12 critical points offensively, however, her 15 rebounds on both ends of the floor to control the boards for the double-double played a key role in the victory over the Knights.

Queen’s Grant Stallions 

Men’s Basketball: 

Jeremiah Murphy – The senior guard scored 27 points, grabbed 10 rebounds for another double-double against CATA to lead the team to victory. This was a nice bounce back game for the senior guard who had an off game and was double teamed by Covenant Day who held him to 8 points in the loss.

Girl’s Basketball:

Nasha Allen – The freshman scored 8 points, hauled down 5 rebounds, including 1 defensive steal against Covenant Day for the Lady Stallions recently.

Rocky River Ravens 

Men’s Basketball: 

Calik “Duke” Thomas – The steady junior led the Ravens with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block in the loss to the Harding University Rams.

Stephon Richards – Another junior who is making a contribution for the Ravens, he contributed 8 points, had 1 block, and was credited with 2 deflections against the Rams.
